Boilerplate
Tembi Labs ("Tembi" means hope) is a mission-driven initiative working to make access to technology a human right. It runs AI hackathons at universities across the Global South, shares refurbished enterprise devices, builds computer rooms, and grows digital and AI literacy. It is not a charity: participants are the authors of their own success, not recipients of alms. Tembi Labs is a team-led initiative run by a diaspora team of co-founders, listed on the About page. The idea began at Cambridge, with research from 2023 and the programme starting in 2026. Tembi Labs operates on radical transparency and publishes its KPIs in the open.
